Music Marketing #1
Recently, we were assigned a music marketing project which required us to research then market our artist/band in which me and my group were assigned Pop. We chose our Pop star's name to be Starstruck as it was a catchy name to go with the slogan "Catch the beat, chase the dream." and fit the ongoing theme of a night club kind of vibe. We developed a description of Starstruck's logo as a holographic star with an 80's color way to play into Starstruck's colorful and nostalgic sound.
Starstruck will be on multiple platforms to be the most accessible as possible with platforms such as Tik-Tok, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube. Will Starstruck's app preference be different for every app? The answer is yes. For example, on Tik-Tok the goal is to reach out to our main target audience and take advantage of Tik-Tok's ability to create buzz through viral videos and post behind the scenes, snippets, and viral dances through our name. Differing from Tik-Tok Starstruck's instagram presence will definitely be more information focused posting show dates, merch, and shoutouts similarly to Starstruck's Twitter presence. YouTube is quite unique as of course we will post our music and lyrics but develop a Starstruck Universe and connect all of our music videos together creating its's own story.
With all these factors, we plan on making Starstruck as interactive as possible for our group and plan to record the video with a colorful and nostalgic vibe.
